FOR TODAY February 9, 2009
Outside my window…gray clouds, brown grass, just patches of snow left. Just what I hate about February and March.
I am thinking…about how much I have to do and how little I really want to do it!
I am thankful for…too many things to even begin to list them all.
I am thankful for…too many things to even begin to list them all.
From the learning rooms…Brian is studying for a make-up science test. Alyssa is done with school for the day already. I’ll never get in the number of hours the state requires from her!
From the kitchen…a new recipe for low-fat fish cakes. Sounds yummy and healthy.
I am wearing…my fuzzy blue slippers. They sure keep my feet warm on such a raw day.
I am creating…an afghan. O.K., I started crocheting it eight years ago when my niece was born. Poor thing will be in college by the time I’m done. I made a mistake I couldn’t figure out, got frustrated and put it away. I finally figured out my mistake and am rolling again.
I am going…to take Brian to the orthodonist this afternoon. He’s getting close to being done with the braces.
I am reading… all the other daybooks and enjoying them!
I am hoping…this is where last week I reported my weight loss. Well, I didn’t lose anything last week, much like Joelle on Biggest Loser! So, I’m hoping for better results next week. I’m also hoping to get more editing done. I’m over 170 pages through a 351 page book.
I am hearing…Jonalyn pretending to talk on the phone and the news on the radio.
Around the house…mess and clutter. I didn’t get my chores done over the weekend because we cleaned the carpets, so i guess I’ll have to get some done this week.
One of my favorite things…the sense of accomplishment in getting things done. So I guess I’d better get at it!
A few plans for the rest of the week: getting ready for Valentine’s Day and Brians 14th birthday on Sunday. Plus we have Jonalyn’s IEP meeting on Wednesday. Pray that it all goes well.
Here is picture thought I am sharing…
I’m a week late for Groundhog’s Day. I forgot about this critter who appeared in our yard last spring. He saw his shadow, too!

I have an unfinished afghan that is nearly that old too.

Although it is MUCH warmer here, what I hate about February is the brown grass and bare trees. By this time, I guess it has gotten a little old. 🙂
