We had a great time at the water park. Well, four of us did, anyway! Jonalyn hated it. She did fine the first night we were there. She went down the little slide and played in the shallow water. She did okay the next morning, too. But she didn’t like getting water in her face, which you can’t help but do at a water park. Isn’t that the point? By the second night she was so exhausted. We left her with Brian so Doug, Alyssa and I could go down a slide and she cried the entire time we were gone. We calmed her down, then Doug took her on the lazy river. I tried to get some video for the orphanage. Let’s just say that we won’t be sending any of what I took. She was not happy! She did a little better the last morning, but not much. She was ready to go home. She didn’t even want to play in the dry area.
Our meals were interesting. They had a deal that if you eat at the buffet, you get a free kid’s meal with every adult meal. Great deal, huh? No way. $20 per adult and they kill you on the drinks (not included). $73 for the 5 of us. Ridiculous. Needless to say, we didn’t go back. For breakfast the first morning we got doughnuts and juice and milk from the grocery store. $12 total. Much more my speed.
I even went down some of the big slides with the kids and Doug. They were impressed at how adventuresome I was. The only way I could do it was that the stairs were inside and the tubes are enclosed and dark, so you can’t see anything as you go down. Now we are all just plain exhausted. It’s amazing how much fun can take out of you! Enjoy the pictures.
Jonalyn enjoying the slide. Sorry for the graininess of the picture – Doug was playing with his new camera.
Alyssa coming off the body slide. I didn’t like this one – I got water up my nose! Yuck!
Brian, hanging out and being cool. He’s developed an aversion to cameras. Too bad, because he’s so handsome!
Alright, here’s one of me on the lazy river. Gotta love those white legs!
My favorite picture. This was in the wave pool. Ahhh.

What hotel were you at? Our favorite one in the Dells is Treasure Island…we can usually get a good deal on a room, but it’s been years since we’ve gone now.

This was at the Wilderness. Someone recommended it to us. It was nice and HUGE. There are three indoor water parks there. If you get bored there, it’s your own fault! LOL!
