Outside my window…I think the weather is getting ready to turn. Which is a good thing, because I still have some Veronica and lamium and even creeping phlox blooming. Crazy weather.
I am thinking…about what a nice Thanksgiving we had at my sister’s house. 19 of us in all. Yummy dinner (I only had to make herb rolls and sweet potatoes), great company and even a fun game to cap it all off.
I am thankful for…so many things this year. My home, my family, jobs, health, and most of all my Savior. I could fill pages and pages with all the things I’m thankful for this year.
From the learning rooms…back to school full swing, trying to get in lots of learning before Christmas.
From the kitchen…I can’t remember. It’s on my list, it really is, but I don’t feel like getting up to get it. Boy, I really am lazy these days!
I am creating…my proposal. Still working on it. I think I might get brave enough and send it to my agent by Christmas. That’s my hope, anyway.
I am wearing…sweats, a sweatshirt and a red plaid fleece blanket.
I am reading…”The Connected Child”. Excellent book. I’m learning so much about parenting in general and parenting hurting adopted children in particular.
I am hoping…that I manage to stay sane with this very busy week 🙂
I am praying…for a good, calm week. For Brian to do well on his geography test.
I am going…piano lessons, Shopko to run an errand for my mother. I’ve done most of my shopping online and hope to get a few more Cyber Monday deals today.
Around the house…Lots of cleaning up from the weekend to be done. I can’t seem to stay ahead of it all these days.
I am hearing…Doug talking, the clock ticking, Brian playing a game.
One of my favorite things…a warm, cozy blanket on a cold winter’s evening. We keep our heat low in here and you need it to survive.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Shopping at the outlet mall with my mom. Maybe some work at our property with Doug if the weather doesn’t turn too bad. And cutting our Christmas tree on Saturday.
Here is picture thought I am sharing: What a pretty young lady!

Stopped by via the Daybooks and had to say, “Hello”. We’re also a family of home educators, with older, internationally adopted children. What fabulous blessings they all are.
