Outside my window…the winter blahs. It rained this weekend and we melted a lot of snow. I hate this time of the year when there are so many dirty piles. I wish it would snow a little more.
I am thinking…about not much of all. My brain’s too full of schedules and such to think of anything 😉
I am thankful for…for a safe trip to and from Snow Camp for Brian and for his improvement in his grades this quarter.
From the learning rooms…plugging away with long division. Not my strong suit and I hate teaching it. Hopefully Alyssa will pick it up quickly.
From the kitchen…spaghetti with meat sauce and homemade French bread.
I am creating…an edited chapter in my book. I want to have it to my crit partners tomorrow. If I write today, that means I can have a cup of lavender tea. That’s my new reward for writing. So far, it’s working!
I am wearing…jeans, a purple turtleneck, a beige sweater, and my ever-present afghan to keep me warm.
I am reading…My Bible. It’s all I have time for. (This is the same thing I wrote last time I did a daybook!)
I am hoping…that this will be a good, productive week.
I am praying…for someone in my church who is going through infertility and may be thinking about adopting. I know what a difficult time that is.
I am going…nowhere this morning. The piano tuner is coming to us. Then, this afternoon, it is piano lessons and picking up the others from school. A normal Monday.
Around the house…It’s getting better after the Brian the Tornado returned from snow camp. I just need to do his laundry (that much laundry when you’re only gone for 3 days!) and make my bed.
I am hearing…Alyssa practicing her piano one more time before her lesson.
One of my favorite things…a warm blanket. I wouldn’t survive the winter without it.
A few plans for the rest of the week: grocery shopping, signing up Alyssa for more swimming lessons (she doesn’t really need the lessons, but the exercise is good for her), Jonalyn’s IEP on Thursday (praying that goes well), Doug has a night out with his friends on Friday.
Here is picture thought I am sharing: My garden a few years ago. This is a random picture I chose without even looking, but it’s a nice, warm thought!
To see other daybooks go to the the Simple Woman. Enjoy! (And if anyone can tell me how to get rid of this underline, I’d be grateful!

I love gardens, and wish I had a bit more time to work in ours. Have a good week.
