Hold your breath and cross your fingers, toes, ankles & eyes, my internet is working this morning. We’ll see how long this will last.
So, what am I thankful for this morning? Internet service! I wasn’t going to continue this drama, but I am thankful for this technology that the Lord has allowed man to invent. I’m hooked. I think it’s great. Over the years, I’ve met many wonderful people from around the world because of this invention. Last year I had the privilege of meeting one of them in person and it looks like they are going to visit us this summer!! I’m so excited. I’m thankful for the connections I’ve made because of the internet.
It also gave me great support when we were going through Jonalyn’s adoption. I met many wonderful people online and got so much great advice when we had some delays. When I thought Jonalyn would never come home, they sent emails to encourage me. What a blessing. Still now, these people lift me up when life brings trouble and difficulties and rejoice with me over the good things in my life.
I’m thankful for the way it saves time. I’m not one to pick up the phone and chat with someone. Sorry, just not me. But I’m likely to shoot you a quick email. Yesterday I was able to pay a couple of bills online in the time it would have taken me to write a check (not to mention the envelope, find a stamp, etc.)
The Lord has given mankind the ability to develop and use technology – things in medicine, transportation, communication and so on that are far beyond my understanding. I’m thankful for the minds He has given us. A good reminder to give Him all the praise and to use these technological advances for His glory.

I’m glad you’re up and running again – hopefully for good now. It’s good to ‘hear from you’ again.
