While the ACFW conference continued on Sunday, I left in order to worship and honor the Sabbath day. My college friend lives an hour south of Indianapolis and I spent the day with her. Columbus is famous for it’s architecture, so we drive around in the afternoon and looked at some of the sights. I should say it’s famous for it’s modern architecture. This is a school.
This one is a church. This is part of that same church.
I can’t remember what this is. I think it might be a school, too. They have lots of interesting schools there.
This is the elementary school my friend attended. I you look closely behind the tree, you’ll see an orange tube. Yup, the different parts of this school are connected with these colorful tubes.
While it’s all very unusual, I prefer more traditional architecture, like this gorgeous brick home,
with these beautiful gardens.
This Queen Anne style house was across the street. Sorry, it’s hidden behind the trees. But it was beautiful. I could live there!
Or, how about this fun ice cream parlor
I almost missed getting a picture of the two of us together! Here’s a quick one I snapped on Monday morning as I was about to get in the car.
I was so sorry to leave đ I hope it’s not five more years before we see each other again! We had a wonderful time. Her parents were on vacation, so we went to their lake house and sat and chatted for the longest time – in privacy! How wonderful.
