Wow, time flies. Nothing earth-shattering has happened here. Just life. A lot of it. I’m not going to try to catch up on all the thankfulness I’ve missed, so I’ll just list a few.
1. I’m thankful that, despite life trying to happen again today, I managed to write 2010 words. Woo hoo! Back on track and feeling good.
2. I’m thankful for my wonderful husband. He is a gift from God and I treasure every day I have with him – well, I try to đ He held down the fort for me so I could go and spend the day Saturday scrapbooking with friends. I had a blast. Alyssa came along and was a huge help. I look at Doug and can’t believe that I have the privilege of being married to him. He’s so good with the kids, too. Alyssa had a bad day on Thursday and was in tears. Even after those stopped, she didn’t cheer up. The girls were still at the dinner table, finishing their milk and Doug started walking around and around the table, stopping to tug each girl’s ears. After two or three times he had them both giggling, then belly-laughing. Alyssa snapped out of her funk. Yesterday, as we discussed a few things, it amazed me how we thought alike on each subject we broached. I was surprised, but I shouldn’t have been. In the important things, we agree with each other. I am so blessed.
More to come another day. I promise to try not to let a week pass again.
