Doug and I are going through the book of Isaiah right now. As we have read this week, there have been a few verses that have spoken to my heart.
Isaiah [30:15] “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength.”
Isaiah 33:2 “O Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.”
Isaiah 33:6 “He wil be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.”
I especially like the first verse. In these crazy busy times, I need words like rest and quietness. Our salvation isn’t a frantic running around trying to do good deeds that will earn us salvation, or a list of rules and regulations we have to keep. Our salvation brings rest and quietness, a trust in the Lord.

I’ve been reading the book of Isaiah too! I’m enjoying it so!
My favourite verses at the moment are 45:2&3, and 45:5-8.

Thank you for stopping by my blog! I’ve spent A LOT of time in Isaiah 40 this past week…it was a little rough with my hubby out of town and temper tantrums at every turn. Thankful that God can carry our burdens!
