The letter D is for…
DONE!
Isn’t one of the nicest words in the English language?? D for done, as in I’m done with my galley proofs. Whew. I pressed send and now there is nothing more I can do with my book. It’s DONE. Forever.
D for done, as in today I’m going to get the cleaning in the basement done. Well, probably not done, but started (I hope). It’s been a mess since we remodeled the kitchen. For those of you counting, yes, that was 6 months ago. It must be done.
D for done, as in I got a bunch of things done yesterday, things that sat on my to-do list for far too long. Mail mailed, errands run, writing written, reading read. DONE.
Now I must get teeth brushing done and my day… started. I think I’ll be glad when it’s DONE.

There’s not misunderstanding my 2-year-old grandson when he says “All done!” Whether it be eating, reading, napping or any one of a hundred activities in his busy little day. “Done” truly is a definitive word. Great post 🙂
