Today’s post is brought to you by the letter G and…
GIGGLES!
Don’t you just love little girls’ giggles? Love it when two of them have their heads together and nothing is funnier than their silliness? Love it when they start and can’t stop until they’ve forgotten what it was they were giggling about?
Disclaimer before I tell this story: Doug is an only child. He was never around girls very much. Keeping that in mind. I remember the first time Alyssa had a play date at our house. She was 4 or 5 at the time. Her friend from church came over to spend Sunday afternoon with us. After dinner, they disappeared up to Alyssa’s room. They played all the usual things girls play. We heard the giggling coming from upstairs. They came down and sat on the couch, doing nothing, just giggling. My husband asked what they were laughing at. I told him, nothing – that’s what girls do. He shook his head and rolled his eyes, which I caught him doing several other times during the afternoon.
A bunch of giggly girls. How they managed to stay upright while laughing so much is beyond me.
Oh, the giggling that went on when Brian splashed Mom. Alyssa is over there laughing like a hyena.
Yes, girls like to giggle. Even grown-up girls. Giggling is beautiful. Giggling is fun. Giggling is healthy. I think I’m going to find a friend and giggle.
Want some more giggly posts? I bet Patty has a ton of them to share đ

As an only child myself, I laughed at your description of your husband’s reaction to the girls. I know I’ve done the same to my boys and their friends!
Cute “G” post!

I grew up as one of three girls and now have three nieces. Love giggling! I remember many times at the dinner table all four of us females would be laughing so hard we cried and Dad would be amused at our laughing, but have no idea what was so funny. đ

I thought about giggles, but I had all boys. Not a lot of giggling going on. But my DIL and I went to see Tangled and oh my there were so many little girls giggling they made me laugh until I had tears in my eyes.
