I’ve only made you wait a week for them, but here are the pictures from cutting our Christmas tree last Saturday. We had to fit it in between the rain drops. I don’t think we’ve ever had that problem before. I would have much preferred snow, but it was balmy. We had put Jonalyn down for a nap and not 30 minutes later, the rain stopped. The forecast said it would be a brief lull, so we had to hustle to get everyone ready to go. Not having scarves, etc. to deal with this year helped the process along. We’re also fortunate the place is about 2 minutes away from our house.
Preparing to cut. This is an exact science!
Sawing away.
What a guy! That’s an 8 foot tall tree. It comes in a breath under our ceiling.
So there is this year’s tree cutting saga. Nothing dramatic or even interesting. We were home in less than a half an hour. Maybe next year will be more exciting. At least we could have snow!
How do you all get your trees?
Lane Hill House says
I wish I had the photo to post! One year we walked in knee-high snow (depending on how tall you were) at a Christmas tree farm, acres upon acres! Over the next ridge was the perfect tree. Our daughter, now 36, was 8, and she had on a bright blue snowsuit and “moon-boots” with a tired expression as we took her photo next to a little tree just her height before leaving. I can see it in my mind’s eye! Simple memories are great blessings!
Merry Christmas to you and your family,
