Please forgive the lack of posts in a while – life here keeps happening! We spent last week at Camp Westminster, a family church camp sponsored by our Presbytery. What a wonderful few days. Our speaker talked about our life as pilgrim’s in this world. He was very good. We enjoyed sweet Christian fellowship.
This year we had not mishaps and everything went smoothly. A young woman from our church offered crafts for the little kids while the big kids had game time. Jonalyn made the cutest dress, a necklace, and a bean bag. Each afternoon, we spent time on the beach. That was where all the camp attendees gathered.
That was also where I made a big mistake. On Tuesday, someone told me they heard the bacteria level in the lake was high. Jonalyn was playing at my feet and I knew she swallows a lot of water. As in gallons. She was having so much fun, I didn’t pull her out. I let her swim again on Wednesday. Well, she was sick by Wednesday night. She and I missed the Wednesday evening session b/c we didn’t want to be too far from a bathroom. Fortunately, though I feared e-coli big time, she is fine now.
So, that’s where I’ve been. Yup, no pictures (yet), but I hope to get to those soon. Off to another doctor’s appointment for Jonalyn. Her surgery is less than two weeks away.
What have you all been up to while I’ve been gone??

Oh no, fearing E-coli is dreadful… glad she’s better now!
Sounds like you had a good time. 🙂
