Judy DuCharme is our guest today.
She wrote a book called Blood Moon Redemption.
Today, she’s here to share the story behind her story.
An ancient relic, a puzzling prophecy, and a young woman tied together through the ages . . .
Throughout history, blood moons have always been surrounded by persecution and provision, great trials and triumphs. The blood moons of 1493-1494 provided a new world for the Jewish people. In 1949-1950, the blood moons gave them Israel, and the following eclipses presented the Jewish people Jerusalem in 1967-1968. Now a new set of blood moons is on the horizon, and Tassie’s family is certain they will bring about great change.
Tassie, named for a lost religious relic, has her sights set on her career and love, and she doesn’t have time for silly children’s stories. Dismissing the blood moons as circumstance, her unbelief threatens to keep her from her destiny. When Tassie finds herself in the center of worldwide turmoil and a terrorist plot, can she accept her family history and fulfill her place in the future of Israel? Or will the country of her heritage finally fall to its many enemies?
Blood Moon Redemption is an end-times thriller that will keep you riveted until the very last moonrise.

What inspired you to write this book?
My husband set the spark and fanned the flame of Blood Moon Redemption. The fact that it, as with most books in the writing, research, pitching, editing, and marketing, has taken up a great deal of my time, often assaults him with the question of “What was I thinking?”
We both love Israel and Biblical prophecy. The teaching of the blood moons and the events that surround those time periods fascinated us. Lee (my husband) reads almost solely non-fiction. I, of course, love fiction. I had read the nonfiction books about the blood moons, but found them somewhat tedious. We both enjoyed the teaching programs on TV or CD’s, but knew that not everyone would listen to those or read the books. I wanted to bring that information in a fiction book that would engage the reader and invite them to do further study by virtue of being intrigued with the informationLee, one day, gave me the idea of the relic or artifact beginning with Columbus and traveling through the ages with descendants of a family. At the same time we’d heard a true story of a disheveled character like Hector visiting a Pastor with a word from the Lord. Lee told me I had to have someone like him. Also, the great deal of evidence that Columbus was at least part Jewish impressed me. His voyage, whether financed by wealthy Jews or by finances stolen from Jews, left just three days after all Jews were ordered out of Spain and may well have been their journey to new life.
From there the book mushroomed and took me many places while the characters at times seemed to dictate the story to me and I typed as fast as I could to keep up. Lee often told friends that he’d be looking for me and then realized I was off somewhere in the Middle East.
I loved reading books by Bodie Thoene that covered Israeli history, and she almost always included a special-needs person. Our son has special-needs and is quite an influential character in the book.
I also love Joel Rosenberg’s books and Blood Moon Redemption has some similarities – just not all the military events.
What a wonderful story! Thanks for sharing.

On Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, I watched the moon eclipse and then turn blood red.
I enjoy reading books about the end times. We are living in those times right now.
Judy’s book would be a wonderful addition to our church library.
BTW – I don’t do Twitter.

This is such an unusual topic, one that I’ve never read about. I think it’s fascinating and would love to learn more.

So many are not familiar with this fascinating topic. I wrote the book to stir up that interest. Thank you — hope you read it and also study the topic.

I enjoy reading books that are in line with the prophetic times that we are in.

I know — that’s why I enjoy Joel Rosenberg’s books and wanted to write this. Thank you.

Thank you for your comments. I think too that the church needs to look into end-times and consider Biblical prophecy being fulfilled at this time. It is a great addition to church libraries. I hope you get it for your church.
