There is one thing for sure – as long as Jonalyn is with us, our home will never lack for smiles and giggles. And we had a bunch of them on Sunday.
My conversation with her as I was dressing her for church:
Jonalyn: I go on the bus today?
Liz: No, it’s Sunday. What do we do on Sunday?
J: I don’t know.
L: Do we go to church?
J: Yes! And then we go to Pop-pop’s house.
L: That’s right.
J: And Kylie (our dog) come, too?
L: Yes, she’ll come. (In case you’re wondering, she stays at my parent’s house during the service LOL!)
J: Kylie ‘cited to go to Pop-pop’s house.
L: You just said excited!! I’m so excited!!
With Brian being so far away, he encouraged me to join Snapchat. It’s a social media thing where you take a picture, add a caption if you want, and send it to someone. When they open it, they can view it for something like ten seconds before it disappears forever (or as much as something can disappear on the internet). So we were playing with it at my parent’s house on Sunday. Jonalyn is just like every other little kid – she LOVES looking at pictures. She kept seeing all of these pictures of Brian on my phone and remembered Skyping him, so she tried to talk to him. Aww, she misses her big brother. Too cute. We had a great laugh.
These pictures that Brian sent were mostly of him making some kind of funny face. Many of them were of him with his tongue sticking out. Yes, I failed in my job mothering him. Doug tried to get her to stick out her tongue for Brian. The kid would not do it. She acted all embarrassed and shy and it was hilarious. Yes, I did succeed with one of my children.
I’d show you pictures, but they would disappear after 10 seconds đ
