As every perennial gardener knows, your garden is never really complete. You always tweek it – moving something here or there, digging a plant up, putting in new beds. As those beds continue to expand.
So it is in my garden. I’ve expanded our main garden (just a bit!) as well as removed some ground cover I wasn’t fond of in order to put in more flowers. And here are some of them. Please forgive me if I can’t remember their names.
This is a penstamin. I have some Husker’s Red that is nice, but I’ve fallen in love with this one. |
Yellow iris with a variegated leaf. So beautiful. |
Globe flower, aka trollius. One of my favorites in the shade garden. Too bad it doesn’t bloom longer. |
I think my dad and husband planted some stuff one day when I wasn’t home, cause I don’t remember planting this and I have no idea what it is. It’s pretty, though. |
I think this may be a Japanese bottlebrush plant. But don’t quote me on that. |
Well, obviously, you’ve seen this before, but no June pictures would be complete without my yellow peony. Still madly in love with it. |
What’s blooming in your yard?
