Today we have author Pam Hillman with us, sharing her thoughts on an Old World Christmas.
I posted one of them on facebook and all my friends were begging me to come decorate their trees. I’ll tell you a secret: I’m not very good at decorating (or photography, for that matter), but sepia toned photos hide a multitude of decorating sins.
One year when my youngest son was about seven, he went shopping with his grandmother, and they bought me this Old World Santa. His dark maroon coat and tan fur are eye-catching, but are even more striking and fun as a sepia photo. He’s one of my treasured keepsakes.
I’ve had this hand-made dog-trot log cabin since I was a teenager.
Every Christmas it proudly displays a treasured nativity set which was also handmade by a dear friend. It was featured in this article by Laurie Alice Eakes in the More To Life Online Magazine blog.
January 1st marks the official beginning of Pam’s Blog Tour Blowout to celebrate the release of her latest book from Tyndale House, Claiming Mariah.

Okay, now it’s on. I am so using that setting on my camera for everything…think it hides dust balls, cat hair, and newspapers? 🙂
Loved the post, Pam.

lol – Diana, yeah, it does hide a lot! That’s why I like it! 🙂
Update peeps. My December 12th blog with Sharon Srock at Women of Valley View is not until Friday, April 5th. My mistake! Poor Sharon was about to pull her hair out trying to help me get my schedule correct! BUT…stop by Sharon’s page anyway. She’s got some wonderful guests lined up.
