Patty, the queen of blogging, has another great blog idea. And a great way to set some fun goals, but things that may not be necessarily necessary. So, today I’ll be posting 12 things I want to accomplish in ’12. Fun things I wouldn’t usually do. Then on the 12th of each month, I’ll check back in and what I’ve accomplished. She’ll have a Mr. Linky on her site for us all to link to and keep up with each other. So, here goes:
1. I want to do something on top of my hutch in the dinette. It looks so bare after I took down the Christmas decorations.
2. Start regular soup or salad and game nights with our friends. In general, I’d like to do more entertaining.
3. Try one new food I have never tried before. Last year it was fresh tuna. The year before some Puerto Rican dish (both VERY yummy!!). Wonder what it will be this year. In general, I don’t like to try new food.
4. Get my bedroom painted. And try an accent wall in there.
5. Sit one night on each of my front porches. Just sit. That’s it.
6. Go snowshoeing.
7. Go to a local lake with a friend and her kids.
8. Skype with a dear friend.
9. Go to the flea market near our house up north.
10. Get our scrapbook group up and going again. I thought I could scrap on my own. Who was I kidding?
11. Call my aunt as part of my research for my WWII series.
12. Read a novel not in my genre. That’s stepping out for me. Maybe I’ll try a cozy mystery. I’m too skittish about suspense.

What 12 fun, not necessarily necessary things would you like to accomplish this year?

Sounds like a lot of fun things to try… if I had to do a list, one of them would be to try and join one of Patty’s memes and stick to it! Ha ha!
I also thought I could scrapbook on my own, but I find I don’t get round to it, and I enjoy being with someone to bounce ideas off – I hope you get your group going again.

YAYAYAY!! 12 fun, different UNnecessary things in ’12. WOOT!! Have fun and see you Feb 12th! I’m working on my list and having fun. =]
Felicity, LoL. Part of the fun is being able to join when you want to! (but it is fun playing along every week. *wink*)
