I had to take a break from blogging last week (and Facebook & Twitter, too) in order to get some things done for the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) conference in St. Louis this week. I was tired and stressed and nervous. (Read more about that in my post coming later today – I hope!).
Anyway, I’m back for now and will try to post some this week, but I’m not making promises.
On to more important things. There were only two comments for last week’s contest. Did I make it too hard?? Without further ado, the winner is… Marji Laine. What a sweet thing to do for your hubby! Bet he really appreciated that. I’ll send you a private email, but in case you don’t get it, please contact me at liztolsma@gmail.com so I can get your information and send out your prize.
This week’s contest is going to be a little easier. Tell me a little bit about your best friend.
Lisa is my best friend. She is so kind-hearted and giving. You won’t meet anyone else as sweet. She’ll go the extra two miles for you. She loves chocolate and shopping as much as I do (that’s important in a friendship 😉 And she loves my kids, especially Jonalyn. She’s been such an encouragement to me.
Why this question this week? Because the prize is TWO signed copies of my book – yes, two. One for you and one for a friend. Give it as a Christmas gift or a treat for someone who needs a little encouragement. Share it with even more friends my donating it to your church or public library. The choice is yours.
Let those comments start rolling in!
Congrats, Marji.

I have never wrote for one of your contests but I am assuming you want it a as a comment. I got your blog address off of Pat Layton.
My best friend is Alisha Fitzgerald. I am 30 years old and we have been best friends since I moved to our home town when we were in the 5th grade. So we have been friend for forever! I couldnt have ever asked for a better friend. Yes, we have had our ups and downs (especially when we were roomates for 2 years LOL). I got divorced in 2004 and she was there for me through it all. She is the one I call when there is something new I want to try or even if we have done it together before. We just went to the circus and were the only single ones there without kids. We had a great time. Recently we went on a journey together to lose weight. That has been a challenge but she has been a great motivator for me. I love my best friend and hope we will stay friends till the day we die!!
Dont know how you will contact but my email is sweetp8098@yahoo.com
