LOVE!
Last week at family camp, my dad was the speaker. His topic for the week: love. He has written a book about love that will be published this fall. Even though I’ve read his book, I came away from the week with new conviction about love. About how much God loves me.
Imagine. Sit and think about it for a minute. Roll it over in your mind. Contemplate.
God loves me. He created me and loves me. Loves me despite my wandering heart. Enough to give his precious son for me. I don’t deserve his love. I deserve his wrath. But he loves me. Infinitely. Eternally.
Pause and meditate on that for a minute.
When I do, I’m overwhelmed by the thought. I never had pondered it before, but I do now. Wow. Wow. Wow.
And if I have a God who has lavished his love on me so richly, so underservedly, shouldn’t I love others with the same abandon? Friends, family. Even enemies. I’m a sinner and that’s hard. So hard. Only by grace can I even try.
I have a long way to go in learning to love God and others the way I should – all the way until I get to glory. I’m so glad He loves me, even when I fall short. Especially when I fall short.

Ah, what a wonderful reminder. It simply boggles the mind to think about just how much, He loves us. Thanks for sharing! ^_^

That falling short has been in my mind for several months. And I’m so thankful it doesn’t matter.

As a Christian romantic suspense writer, I couldn’t help but write about love, too. So pleased that the Lord doesn’t hand us justice or fairness because we all know what we deserve!

If there is any topic that can never be talked about enough, it is the boundless love of our God. Wow. Thanks for the reminder!
