Doug took the day off on Monday and we decided we needed to go snowshoeing. This is something we both love to do, but sadly don’t have either the time or the snow. The weather was perfect – blue skies, a little wind which wasn’t too bad in the woods, temperatures around 30, and close to a foot of snow on the ground.
We had a wonderful time. A woodpecker and two deer crossed our path. We enjoyed the stillness of the woods, the peace and quiet after a hectic and stressful couple of weeks. The Lord used the time to revive us.
And I actually have pictures! I’m off.
One of the deer we saw. The pair stood around for the longest time and didn’t see us for quite a while. They are beautiful when they aren’t eating your garden 🙂
You can see in this picture what a beautiful day it was and how peaceful the setting. We climbed a high hill and took in the gorgeous sight of the countryside. It was worth the climb!
