Later today, we’ll be under a blizzard warning, so we are hunkering down. Yesterday I filled the car with gas so that if I get stranded, I’ll be able to stay warm. I also bought some groceries, mostly because our cupboard was bare. But buying groceries seemed to be the thing to do. The stock boy was busy refilling the bread shelf when I walked by and the lines were long. The kids, of course, are hoping for a day off of school tomorrow. I think they’re going to get it.
Secretly – don’t tell anyone – I hope they have a day off. I love snow days. You get to watch the snow falling without worrying about having to go out in it. Maybe we’ll start a fire in the fireplace and play Monopoly while we drink hot chocolate. Ahh, life doesn’t get any better than that.

I’ve been wondering how you all are doing in the blizzard. Don’t hate me, but the sun is shining here!

I agree – I LOVE getting snowed in occassionally! We don’t have it bad here at all, but my parents who left Sunday to drive to Arizona got trapped in a blizzard in Oklahoma City!
