Wow, it’s been a week since I’ve posted. Sorry about the lag. It’s just been crazy, ya know? I did get the kitchen painted last weekend, which was great. Doug was away hunting and that gave me a chance to do it. No need to cook – ramen noodles sustained us. He saw a 4 point buck and had a perfect bead on it. The shot (apparently) has to be just right when you’re bow and arrow hunting. Unfortunately (for fortunately for the deer) Doug had told himself he wouldn’t shoot anything less than a six pointer. I told him next time to shoot at any deer. Venison from a 4 pointer is as good as venison from a 6 pointer.
I’ve been busy writing, writing, writing. When I’m not writing, I’m researching, It’s so fascinating. It’s why I write historicals. Have you been watching my progress meter rise? I’ve been very motivated by it.
Well, I need to be off to clean the bathrooms. Oh, joy. But I have to get it done. We’re having a reunion in Madison on Saturday for the Wisconsin/NE Illinois kids adopted from Jonalyn’s orphanage. I’m really looking forward to that. I’ll post pictures of it – some time or another 🙂
Thanks for sharing this crazy journey with me. I’ll try to do better at keeping this blog updated.
