I’m pleased to announce that last week I signed my very first book contract!!!! My story, with the working title “Under His Wings” will be one of nine novellas in the collection “A Log Cabin Christmas”. My story is set in a Wisconsin logging camp in 1874. Each of the stories features a log cabin. Barbour Publishing is the publisher.

Praise the Lord with me. This has been a dream of mine since I was in 5th grade. I’m still pinching myself to make sure it’s real. While it isn’t a book all my own – yet – it is certainly a step in the right direction. It is my first agented book, with an advance and royalties! Yeah, don’t get excited. No mansion, no luxury car, no exotic vacations. Maybe a few groceries or a couple of tuition payments. But I’ve broken through that publishing wall, and that’s huge.
