I’ve arrived safely at home! The trip went very well. Thanks for all of your prayers. I drove through Chicago for the first time and even over the Skyway Bridge. I didn’t freak out, so that was great. Thanks to my critique partner, I met some wonderful people and had a nice time with them. My roomie was so sweet. The food at the conference was very good. Best of all – I got asked for a full manuscript of a book I haven’t even written a word of. Oh my, I’m going to have to get moving on that. I’m going to change my ticker on the sidebar, so keep watching that go up. I’ll blog as often as I get a chance, but writing has to be my first priority now. I’m going to try really hard not to even turn the internet on until noon. That’s going to be hard.
Well, I haven’t seen my kiddos yet, so I’m off to school in a few minutes to pick them up. Boy, did I miss them and my hubby. Oh, I did have a wonderful time with my friend. We caught up on so many things. Her kids are great, her new house is beautiful, and I managed to get 8 wonderful hours of sleep last night. Thanks, Kelly, for being a terrific hostess and a fabulous friend.
Keep watching and as I get time I’ll post a few more details about the ACFW conference and hopefully get a few pictures up, too.
