…to the ACFW conference in the morning. I’ve been privileged to be part of the American Christian Fiction Writers since 2002. I have learned so much because of them and if/when I get published, I will owe a great deal to this organization. While big crowds intimidate me and make me want to crawl into my shell, I’m looking forward to it. I have a roommate, so I can always hang out with her and have meals with her. I have plans for dinner on Saturday already, so that is great. I’m working at the registration table, too, so I hope to connect with some people that way.
I have an appointment with one editor and hope to catch up with several others to pitch my work to them. Just a note to self: do not rehearse your pitches while you’re trying to fall asleep two nights before you leave. Didn’t sleep well last night.
One of the things I’m most looking forward to on this trip is getting to see my college friend. It’s been way too long and we have lots of catching up to do. Should be a fabulous time.
I was going to write a bunch of posts ahead of time and schedule them for this weekend, but alas, that isn’t going to happen. I must make some order out of this chaos, run some errands, and get a few things done around my house. Ahhh.
I won’t have internet access, so you’ll have to wait until I get back to hear all about it. I’m going right now to pack my camera so I can take plenty of pictures.
Have a great weekend, everyone! Please keep me in your prayers.
