This is a great three-in-one collection by Anita Higman and Janice Thompson.
I enjoyed reading each of these stories, all set in Arkansas. The authors put a fresh twist on these romances. In “The Love Song”, the main character is a painfully shy young woman. What a different heroine than the usual bubbly, outgoing characters. And the authors did a wonderful job in portraying what it is like to be shy.
But I can’t say it was my favorite story in the collection, because I also really enjoyed “Castles in the Air” in which the hero is a geek. Yes, he’s a true nerd. What a wonderful and humorous take on a character. This story was a lot of fun to read. Yes, Zachary Martin got over his geekiness a little bit throughout the course of the book, but not completely. How wonderful to be loved just for who you are.
All in all, one of the better novella collections I have read in a while. And Anita Higman is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.
