Thank you all for your kind comments about my “Journey to Brian” series. I appreciated them. It was the most amazing journey of my life – one that is ongoing! I would love to go back and live there for a while, perhaps doing short-term missions.
Our summer is coming to a screeching halt. Brian starts school on Monday, Alyssa on Wednesday and Jonalyn the following Wednesday. We went camping last week (I think that will be my Foto Friday this week, so stay tuned) and had a blast. We have started our home update. When we got back from Wyoming, I painted Brian’s room. We still need furniture, curtains and comforters, so I’ll hold off on pictures of that for now. I’m starting to narrow down my choices for paint colors for the rest of the rooms and hope to get our powder room painted this weekend. Once the painting is done, we can get to work on the kitchen. I’m excited!
And I’ve been busy writing. I got one proposal completed and out the door last week. Whew! That one was a rush job that my agent wanted right away. She loved my story idea and loved my voice. Hopefully the publisher will like it, too! If you look on the right hand side of my blog, you’ll see a counter that keeps track of how many words I’ve written. My latest project is a book with the working title, “Where the Heart Is”. I’ve had a tough time getting started on it, but it is finally beginning to flow. We’ll see what my critique partners think of it. Now you can follow how much I’m doing and hold me accountable when you don’t see that word count rising. I have this hunch it will start to go up more quickly once school starts. I don’t know why…
