Sorry guys, no pictures today. We haven’t had a chance to upload the pictures. I took notes all day long of things I wanted to write, but I’m too exhausted. Plus, I left them in the room and I’m not going back for them!
We had a wonderful day. The scenery is spectacular. It’s really more than that, but words can’t describe it. And I got to see many beautiful mountains without having to be too high up or too much on the edge. I was able to enjoy all of it. We loved the drive from Cody to Yellowstone. It was so beautiful. We stopped numerous times for pictures and just to drink it all in. Yellowstone in breathtaking – lakes, rivers, mountains, steam vents, sulfur ponds, geysers. Yes, we got to see one go off. But not Old Faithful. Not yet, anyway. We saw so many animals – elk, moose, black bear, pelicans. Beautiful, beautiful animals. How can anyone look at all of this and not believe in a Creator? Psalm 19 is so right. “The heavens declare the glory of God.”
We are now in Grand Teton National Park. I’m looking out the windows at snow-capped mountains with the sun setting behind them. I’m out of superlatives.
We had planned to be here for 3 nights, but the rooms aren’t worth the arm and leg we are paying for them. The food isn’t that great, is expensive, and the dining room is ridiculous. So we have managed to change our reservations and go back to Cody a night early. They aren’t supposed to cancel them with less than 7 days notice. They should charge us a cancellation fee. But the manager checked me in and she was at the desk when I went to cancel. Done. With no charge. All I can say – it’s a God thing.
Well, I must get myself to bed. I’ll try to get a chance to post some pictures in the morning. We have a dinner float trip planned for tomorrow, so I doubt I’ll get a chance to post tomorrow evening. I’ll get on when I possibly can.
“Praise ye the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation.”
