FOR TODAY June 8, 2010
Outside my window…rain, rain, go away. Actually, it’s good for my garden and it’s forcing me to get some things done in the house. It’s really cold today, but supposed to warm up later in the week. My peonies are blooming – my favorite time of the year in my garden.
I am thinking…about my two new WIP’s I’m working on (works in progress in the writing world)
I am thankful for…small glimmers of hope. A post on that hopefully in the next week or two.
From the learning rooms…Jonalyn’s last day of school is tomorrow. Then we’re done for the rest of the summer. Ahhh…
From the kitchen…shepherd’s pie tonight. Not Alyssa’s favorite, but I like it.
I am creating…a clean house. That’s my goal, anyway!
I am wearing…a pair of jeans and a long-sleeved pink T-shirt. Told you it was chilly!
I am reading…”God Wrote a Book” about how we can know the Bible is true. Excellent little book.
I am hoping…that my friends who will be visiting next week have a safe trip.
I am praying…for relief from my wrist pain. I think I have tendentious. I know, I know, I shouldn’t be on the computer so much then!
I am going…to get Jonalyn. That’s it.
Around the house…why does it look so messy right before it gets clean?
I am hearing…the dishwasher running (I don’t have one of those quiet ones yet), Jonalyn playing.
One of my favorite things…watching the hummingbirds at the feeder.
A few plans for the rest of the week: baking, cleaning, gardening, relaxing, working. Nothing exciting at all. Except that Sabrina and her family come on Monday!!!!!
Here is picture thought I am sharing: this is what I did yesterday. 27 jars of jam, lots of frozen strawberries for smoothies, shortcake, pie, etc. and some for eating. Also put up some peas, but they were so small, we hardly got anything out of it. I think we’ll have enough for 2 or 3 meals total.
To see other daybooks, go to The Simple Woman. Enjoy!

So enjoyed stopping by your blog today and will definitely be back. And, so impressed with “the fruits of your kitchen labor.” Picture looked like something out of a magazine. Blessings to you on your writings and I look forward to more visits.
