FOR TODAY May 25, 2010
Outside my window…it’s dark now because I’m getting to this late, but it has been hot, hot, hot. Yuck! It’s too early to be this hot. I can’t believe we have the air on in May. But my irises are blooming and they look beautiful.
I am thinking…about getting a good night’s sleep.
I am thankful for…health and strength to accomplish all I did in the past week or so.
From the learning rooms…Brian has exams today and tomorrow. Then only Jonalyn will have school – until something like June 11th. Alyssa will have been done for almost a month by then!
From the kitchen…tonight it was oven fried chicken, jasmine rice and carrots.
I am creating…a Christmas novella collection with my critique group. We’re bouncing ideas around right now. Hope we come up with something we can sell!
I am wearing…my summer nightgown. It’s hot!
I am reading…”Hope’s Promise” by Tammy Barley. That will be another review in a few weeks.
I am hoping…that Brian does well on his exams. And that he gets a job for the summer.
I am praying…for some dear friends with some big concerns.
I am going…to bed. Tomorrow – just running kids to and from school if I can help it. Oh, I do need to get gas.
Around the house…how about we say the garden looks great and leave it at that? I’ve been outside all of the past two days and at the plant sale before that.
I am hearing…a radio. I think it’s Brian’s.
One of my favorite things…a good book and a glass of iced tea. A summer treat!
A few plans for the rest of the week: just working around the house. Nothing exciting at all. Had all my excitement last week.
Here is picture thought I am sharing: I had such a great time with my friend and her family on Saturday. What a blast! It wasn’t like meeting someone for the first time – we were already comfortable friends. Can’t wait to do it again!
To see other daybooks, go to The Simple Woman. Enjoy!

Mmm, jasmine rice sounds good! Something I haven’t tried yet. How hot does it get where you live? (in celcius?)
Hope you have a great week!
