FOR TODAY May 11, 2010
Outside my window…wind, rain, cold temps. Yuck. But typical spring weather in Wisconsin. I think I won’t look outside my window the rest of the day!
I am thinking…about my friends who are coming to visit me this summer!!
I am thankful for…water for my flowers. Hey, I’m trying to think positively.
From the learning rooms…it’s exam week for Alyssa. She finishes on Friday. Brian will finish his paper today. His exams are in two weeks.
From the kitchen…morrel mushrooms. Doug & Alyssa went mushroom hunting yesterday and came back with six good sized mushrooms. My mouth is watering-I can’t wait!
I am creating…a healthy body. I’m trying to get lots of rest to get rid of this cold. I feel miserable.
I am wearing…yoga pants, a maroon turtleneck, a white fleece, a blue fleece, an afghan, and my blue slippers. I told you it’s cold!
I am reading…I finished reading “The Someday List”. It was really good. I’m looking forward to reading the sequel. Hope it will be free on Kindle soon!
I am hoping…that the IT tech calls soon and we can get our internet worked out. The service tech was here earlier. Everyone is stumped. As you can see, I’m online, but it’s working at dial-up speed. That’s not acceptable.
I am praying…for a very personal request.
I am going…to get the kids from school. That’s it. I have to wait for that phone call and it’s not really a nice day to go anywhere anyway.
Around the house…once school is over, I will clean it. I promise!
I am hearing…the news on the T.V. That’s about it. It’s going off soon so we can finish school for the day.
One of my favorite things…a warm comforter at night. I love to snuggle down while I sleep.
A few plans for the rest of the week: I have a dr. appointment I’m sure I’m going to forget tomorrow, work, and that’s about it. I have to get into my garden and get some plants dug for my dad’s plant sale at the end of next week.

What kind of homeschooling do you do? I note that your kids go to some kind of school at times?

Hi Liz, no I’m not sorry I asked, I was just curious. Sorry if it wasn’t a nice question ;-(
Here in SA we have several options for homeschooling. One of them requires you to be very involved with a Christian School, even going in several days a week etc. I wondered if you were doing something like that. Some people like to be so involved with a school, others (like me) prefer to be on their own, doing their own thing. But I’m always interested in what others are doing, and why.

Your friends are excited, too. And also wondering….if it’s cold now, what will the weather be like in say, 4 weeks? We are knocking at 90 this week.
