Jonalyn passed an attachment milestone on Saturday. Doug & Alyssa went out to buy my mother’s day gift (chocolate and flowers :). Brian was at a party. When Doug left, Jonalyn sat on the bottom step and cried for him!!! Huge! She missed him. She wanted him. I was sitting at the table around the corner, and told her I was right there. She kept crying! It took a while for her to settle down. And when he came home, she ran to him with her arms open, shouting, “Daddy!” What a wonderful memory. I know it was mother’s day weekend, but it was really father’s day in our house. Yes, it’s been 2 1/2 years. But that moment on Saturday made everything worth it.
