Outside my window…my tulips are all wind-battered. It’s been so windy the past couple of weeks. My creeping phlox is looking gorgeous as are my Virginia bluebells. Today there are all kinds of birds in the yard. What fun to listen to them chatter. The cat is having a fit watching them all!
I am thinking…about the work that needs to be done around the house.
I am thankful for…a pretty normal routine.
From the learning rooms…winding down for the year. Alyssa will finish next Friday. Brian’s big research paper is due a week from today. Then it will be on to exams for him. Whew, I’ll be glad when we’re all on summer break.
From the kitchen…meatloaf tonight. Hopefully I can get to the grocery store to buy all the ingredients. My cupboards are bare.
I am creating…a beautiful garden. It’s starting to take shape. Next I need some mulch.
I am wearing…jeans, a short-sleeved purple-flowered top, a blue fleece, and I still have my blue slippers on.
I am reading…”The Someday List” by Stacy Hawkins Adams on my Kindle for PC. I haven’t read anything by her yet, but this is pretty good. Did you know you can get free books for your Kindle? I check back every week or two and download the ones they have for free – it’s always changing. In addition to not having to pay, I don’t have to worry about returning it to the library on time!
I am hoping…that my internet keeps working. It was down again last night and a little slow this morning. Ugh. I DON’T want to have to deal with this again.
I am praying…for a smooth end to the school year.
I am going…to work in my garden and get the weeding done this afternoon. I’m determined! I’m also going to take a walk. I’m down three pounds, five to go, but I’m stuck where I am.
Around the house…lots of clutter that needs to be organized and bugs that need to be swept out of the sunroom.
I am hearing…Alyssa’s pencil (and eraser!) as she works on a Bible quiz.
One of my favorite things…sitting in my sunroom, soaking up some rays.
A few plans for the rest of the week: I have a bunch of errands to run this afternoon, work tomorrow, work Friday, but not too busy of a week for me. Doug is much busier.
Here is picture thought I am sharing: Last time I was on here, I mentioned that one of my favorite things was dressing up for Easter. Here is a picture of the girls in their Easter dresses. Brian didn’t want his picture taken – that’s why he’s missing.
To see other daybooks, go to The Simple Woman. Enjoy!

Glad I’m not the only one who was wearing slippers while doing my daybook!!

I love the photo of your daughters in their Easter dresses! Very sweet. Here is a hint for when you plateau in your diet. Take a day off and eat more. Then go right back on it the next day. Somehow it tricks the body. Worked for me this weekend.
