FOR TODAY September 21, 2009

Outside my window…It’s a gray day. Whoopie! It rained last night for the first time in 3 weeks. Hope we get more rain! The grass is so brown it crunches underfoot. But the bluebirds have been out in force the past few weeks. They are so beautiful!! They’re so fund when they splash in the bird bath.

I am thinking…about everything I need to get done today. Just too much on my plate right now.

I am thankful for…a wonderful weekend camping in our new camper. It just works so much better for our family.

From the learning rooms…Spanish. Alyssa and I are both learning it. Apparently, I’m not very good! A 54% on the speaking section today. I just couldn’t say adios!

From the kitchen…this question stumps me every Monday. And since we’ve been gone all weekend, I really don’t know what to make. Maybe chicken breasts. Sounds good. There! It’s all decided 🙂

I am creating…a book giveaway. You have one hour left to comment on my previous post to win a book!

I am wearing…black jeans and a green and black shirt. I have a meeting later today and need to look nice.

I am reading…just my own book. Must get more editing done. Did get a lot finished on chapter 10 over the weekend.

I am hoping…to reach the end of my to-do list today. Ha!

I am praying…for good attitudes for everyone.

Around the house…books. Papers. Brian’s O.J. that he didn’t drink this morning.

I am hearing…Alyssa working on Spanish. She’s struggling with some of the same sentences I did. Maybe it wasn’t just me! Maybe, just maybe, it was a hard lesson!

One of my favorite things…a cool, rainy fall day. Sweatshirt weather.

A few plans for the rest of the week: a meeting today which should help us get some things we need for Jonalyn, a doctor’s appointment (yuck!) tomorrow, apple picking with Alyssa and my mom on Thursday. Looking forward to that.
