Jonalyn got a promotion in school – to 2nd grade! Yes, there in black and white, in her back-to-school packet, it has her listed in 2nd grade. With a 2nd grade teacher. Um, like that’s going to happen. I HOPE it’s just a clerical error. Someone in the central office got a list of names and birth dates and just assigned teachers. Never bothered to look at what class she was in last year. Or that she had special ed last year. Cause if it’s the case that they are really putting her in 2nd grade…

I’m nervous enough about her being in K5. I just don’t know how she’s going to do in the regular classroom. Sure, it’s only for gym and art and lunch, etc., but she can’t use scissors, can’t drink from a milk carton without making a mess (much less open the milk carton or the straw), can’t unwrap her sandwich, or follow rules in a game.

Well, I meant this post to be kind of funny, but it turned out to be my list of worries. So maybe I need to turn this into a prayer request. If you think of it, please pray for her as she starts school. Classes begin on September 1. Yeah, I know, nothing like starting to worry early!
