We spent last Monday all day at Hollywood Studios. Doug wanted to do the backlot tour because he remembers doing it at Universal Studios in California when he was a kid. He said that one was better. Jonalyn didn’t like it because of the water that poured down from a “set”. We did the Star Wars ride again. I’m not claustrophobic, but I didn’t like the feeling of being shut in that one, for whatever reason. Brian and I rode the Rockin’ Roller Coaster. Doug refused to go because it goes upside down. I’m proud to report that I’m still not too old for that! Of course, it took a little while for my stomach to catch up with me! Everyone loved the Indiana Jones Special Effects Show. Jonalyn loved the Beauty and the Beast show. Dinner was in the park at the Sci-Fi Dine In. The food wasn’t that great. You sit in a 50’s style car to eat your meal. Kind of weird because we weren’t facing each other and so couldn’t have a conversation.

Tuesday we spent at Animal Kingdom. We enjoyed the safari. Brian, Alyssa and I rode a roller coaster in the fair area and enjoyed that. We all rode Dinosaur. We weren’t that impressed. Doug and Brian rode Mount Everest and said they really liked it. All in all, we had a great day at Animal Kingdom. We then headed over to the Grand Floridian Resort for our dinner with Cinderella. Jonalyn loved meeting the characters and wasn’t afraid of them at all. Brian got very embarrassed when the Wicked Stepmother asked him if he would be interested in marrying one of her daughters! The food was average, but we were impressed by the service. We were very early for our reservation but they got us right in.
