Well, my dad’s annual plant sale is in the record books. He is an avid perennial gardener and one year, while dividing and composting his unneeded plants, he decided to sell them instead. We got involved three years ago. This year was the biggest and the best. We started on Thursday morning with nearly 900 plants, 72 varieties. We brought about 100. Doug and I dug about 25 additional plants from our garden each night to fill orders. The grand total between my dad and us: almost $1900, a new record! Of course, bad picture taker I am, didn’t even think of the camera because you probably aren’t believing me right now. But it’s true!!! Let see. We had 3 varieties of daylilies, 4 of iris, 2 of yarrow, black-eyed Susan’s, bee balm, roses, peonies, white pines, hostas, ornamental grasses, a few annuals, a few veggies and herbs, a couple of ground covers, pin cushion flowers, coreopsis, etc., etc. It’s hard work and I’m exhausted, but I do enjoy it. Well, off to bed to recover!
