Outside my window…Blue skies. Birds chirping. Warm weather (60’s). It really IS SPRING! I spent quite a bit of time this weekend working in my yard and it was wonderful!
I am thinking…about our upcoming vacation. We’ve been wondering if we should change the dates. I’m just not sure about what to do.
I am thankful for…my son. Sure, raising a teenage boy isn’t the easiest thing in the world, but I love him. Always have. Always will. Now I’ve really embarrassed him!
From the learning rooms…This is Alyssa’s last week of school. Hooray! She’s done so well and I’m so proud of her. Brian isn’t happy that she’ll be done and he still has at least two weeks.
From the kitchen…I think we’ll have saucy meatballs for dinner tonight.
I am wearing…blue and white yoga pants, a matching jacket, and a white T-shirt. Can you tell it’s staring to warm up? I’m not in my same old sweats!
I am creating…Alyssa and I got a couple of scrapbook pages done for Doug over the weekend. We also figured out her counted cross-stitch sampler and she’s making some progress on it finally. She’s doing a nice job.
I am going…to take Alyssa to piano lessons. Same old, same old. But I like routine, so that’s good.
I am reading…chapters from my critique partners’ novels. I’m blessed to have some talented ladies to work with. Looking forward to reading more from them.
I am hoping…that I’m able to get in a good, long walk today. And that we get this vacation mess worked out.
I am praying…a prayer of thanksgiving for the private request I had last week. The Lord was truly gracious in answering.
Around the house…Alyssa is working on her math and Brian has gone to get his literature.
I am hearing…The dog is scratching and yawning. The clock is chiming. Alyssa is talking to herself trying to figure out the problem (she gets that from me!).
One of my favorite things…a faithful dog. Kylie was out in the yard with us this weekend and for the most part she stuck right by us. When she did wander away, she came right back when we called her. It was so companionable to have her lazing in the sun next to me while I worked.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Jonalyn has her OT evaluation for summer therapy tomorrow. Alyssa has a piano recital on Saturday. The last gym & swim is Thursday. Things are winding down.

Beautiful picture. Do you have peace about your vacation dates now?
I am jealous of your walk. I have a hard time making myself get up and exercise lately. What’s wrong with me?

Yes, I do have peace about my vacation dates and am really looking forward to it!! It can be tough to get up the gumption to walk. Having a dog helps, because she needs the exercise as much as I do. But you’ve experienced a big change in your family! I didn’t walk for months after Jonalyn came home!!
