Last night as I was brushing Jonalyn’s teeth, we had the following conversation.
J: Bug in cup. (Preposition – hooray!)
L: (looking in cup) No, there’s no bug in your cup.
J: NO! Bug in cup.
L: That’s a fuzzy. Mommy will take it out.
J: NO! Bug in cup.
Just as I was typing this.
J: Where eggs? (her big thing since Easter!)
L: I don’t know.
J: ‘Lyssa say hot eggs.
L: You’re going to have hot eggs?
J: I don’t know. ‘Lyssa put the eggs. I put eggs down.
I don’t know what that meant, but that was our conversation.
Alyssa said this to me yesterday. She has been invited to a birthday party and told to bring a fishing pole. FYI, she hates to eat fish. It took her almost an hour last night to finish a small piece for dinner. (Cold fish – GROSS!) Note: Read with a whiny voice.
A: Mooooom, I just know we’re going to catch fish at the party and they’re going to make me eat them for dinner. I just KNOW it.
Ah, never a dull moment!!
