FOR TODAY March 30, 2009
Outside my window…ummm, snow. Not as much as they thought, but snow. Today – sunny and cool. The rest of the week – rainy and cool. It must be spring in Wisconsin!!

I am thinking…that I’d better finish this and go over math with both kids.
I am thankful for…a good friend who always does such nice things for me. Yesterday she brought me some tea. I’m looking forward to a good cup of Earl Grey in a little while.
From the learning rooms…this week Brian will be getting ready for testing at his school for next year. We’ve decided to put him back in school for high school. He enjoyed his visit there last week and has gone from being very nervous about it to being excited. Alyssa is starting to read “Mr. Popper’s Penguins” for school. She’s looking forward to that. And I must get 3rd quarter grades done. We’re only a couple of weeks into fourth quarter!!
From the kitchen…I’m not really sure. Maybe hamburger soup. Hmmm, that sounds really good and soothing on my sore throat. It’s loaded with veggies & tomatoes and I use extra lean ground beef, so it’s healthy.
I am wearing…my red throw around my shoulders. It was only 21 this morning, so still very cold out.
I am creating…a new scrapbook page of our trip to the water park. It should be a fun page. I’ve been productive with my scrapping lately. Need to pick up that afghan again.
I am going…to drop a package in the mail to someone adopting from Jonalyn’s orphanage. They have graciously agreed to take some things there for me. Doug put together a wonderful video over the weekend and I’m going to add a few small things to it and get it off in the mail. Their son should be ready to come home sometime around Easter.
I am reading…a couple of really good stories from my critique partners. I have some very talented ladies who help me with my writing. I get excited when I see something from them in my inbox. It’s fun to read these stories as they are being created.
I am hoping…that my cold goes away soon and doesn’t get too bad. I think with being busy and stressed, my immunity has been low. It’s been a while since I’ve had so many colds in the winter. I need to keep walking (haven’t lost any more weight, but haven’t gained any, either!) and I can’t do that when I can’t breathe!
I am hearing…Alyssa humming as she waits for me, the heater running, the click of the computer keys as I type.
Around the house…we cleaned hard on Saturday and it’s as clean as it has been in a while.
One of my favorite things…being caught up on my work. I can’t wait until that happens – maybe sometime in 2021!
A few plans for the rest of the week: dog training class, piano lessons, co-op, Palm Sunday service, getting some editing done. Pretty much a normal week.
Here is picture thought I am sharing…
Fun at the hockey game last Friday! The girls are waving to the little blimp that flew around dropping tickets or trading cards.
