Outside my window…blue skies! Warm temperatures! Tulips daring to poke their heads through the warm, most soil. Okay, I’m no naiive enough to think that spring is here to stay (this is Wisconsin, after all!) but it’s nice while it’s here.
I am thinking…about how quickly I can get my work done so I can spend some time outside today.
I am thankful for…a little hint of spring in the middle of March.
From the learning rooms…Brian is reading his history (reconstruction) so we can discuss it in a little while. Alyssa is taking her spelling pretest. That’s my excuse if I lose my train of thought here.
From the kitchen…I think I’m going to try a new recipe – pork and peanut stir fry. I must do more stir fries. They are quick and easy when I’m in a hurry, like I will be tonight.
I am wearing…a light weight, long sleeved brown knit shirt covered with little red flowers. I still have on my fuzzy blue slippers. It’s not that warm out yet!
I am creating…a new scrapbook page tonight and finishing up a couple that are partially done. I hope to start one for Jonalyn’s adoption finalization.
I am going…to take Alyssa to piano lessons, go to the bank, return some movies at the library. Tonight it is to the store to try to get Brian a spring jacket and then off of scrapbook fellowship at church. Busy, busy day. And somewhere in there I have to find time for a walk!
I am reading…same thing as last week – class materials. I had been caught up, then the weekend happened and I got behind again. Never can get on top of it and stay on top of it.
I am hoping…for more followers. I still only have five and I need more than that. So PLEASE, PLEASE help me. Remember, there will be a drawing and one of my followers will win a great prize.
I am hearing…the refrigerator humming, Alyssa writing in her spelling book. It’s pretty quiet at the moment.
Around the house…it’s pretty clean. We had a big cleaning push on Saturday and got some things done which really needed to be done – including washing the floors. It feels so good to have a kind of clean house! If only it would stay that way for more than a few hours.
One of my favorite things…the smell of spring in the air, the sounds of people coming out from hibernation. Everyone in the neighborhood was outside this weekend, enjoying the weather and doing things like washing the car, airing out the camper, cleaning up gardens, walking, running, biking. Hey, we have to take advantage of the nice days while we have them. It will snow again!
A few plans for the rest of the week: dog training class #2, co-op, a field trip to a Civil War Museum in Kenosha with my sister (she also homeschools and all of our kids have studied the Civil War this year), a night out with my family on Friday. A busy week, but one I’m looking forward to.
Here is picture thought I am sharing…
I call this one “Joy”!!!

I’m so glad you are getting to enjoy a little spring up there in Wisconsin! I’d like to get some scrapbooking done, too. It’s been way too long …
I liked your “Joy” picture. It sure would be fun to be outside swinging, but I must stay inside and work!
